"We cannot avoid

Using power,

Cannot escape the compulsion

To afflict the world,

So let us, cautious in diction

And mighty in contradiction,

Love powerfully."

“Come to the edge," he said.
"We can't, we're afraid!" they responded.
"Come to the edge," he said.
"We can't, We will fall!" they responded.
"Come to the edge," he said.
And so they came.
And he pushed them.
And they flew.”

― Guillaume Apollinaire

You are invited on a quest to find and embody your inner warrior.

Many of us have been conditioned away from our capacity for fierceness. However the ability to stand our ground and be clear about what we stand for and to hold healthy boundaries are essential skills for our wellbeing and healthy relationships.

This is an investigative, embodied and potentially life-changing journey for a small circle of up to 8 women, which will offer you ways of applying warrior-like skills to your life.

The course is shaped like the hero's journey. In mythology and storytelling, the hero’s journey is the common template for many tales that involve a hero who goes on an adventure, overcomes a challenge, and returns home changed or transformed. On the course you will be encouraged to explore what the warrior's journey might be for you.

The methods

    - Meditation and mind training practices to develop awareness
    - Accessible movement to be able to embody fierceness
    - Creative work (you do not have to be an artist to engage in this)
    - Story and myth
    - Group inquiry
    - Personal reflection

The course broadly follows the stages of the hero's journey:

Session 1 – The Call (the longing)
Listening to your inner voice. Is there agitation? Dissatisfaction? A call to change? What action is required?

Session 2 – The Threshold (facing the unknown)
Explore the polarities of yin and yang, the feminine and masculine principles inside each one of us, and how they might relate to the warrior archetype.

Session 3 – The Adventure (yes, and…)
Learn practices that help you embody your own inner warrior.

Session 4 – The Treasure (the pearl in the oyster)
The reward, wisdom, skill or blessing that you will attain on the journey.

Session 5 – The Return (coming home to a new belonging)
Preparation to apply what you have learnt on the course to your life. Integrating the changes.
