6 week courses - online with Karin

Make the most of Midsummer

We are at the time of year when the days are longest in the Northern Hemisphere. Around the Summer Solstice is a good time for learning - we tend to have more energy and enthusiasm this time of year.

These three mini courses (6 weeks long) run from early June to mid July. Each course is on a topic I have recently deeply delved into, in my own practice. And benefited from. A lot of the content has been tried and tested by me and my students over the years.

What do you get in each mini course?

For just £43, you will get:

  • 6 live classes (online)

  • Class recordings sent within 48 hours after each class

  • You can download and keep the recordings to watch anytime

  • Weekly additional resources sent by email (for example, poems used, overviews of practices, class notes to support personal practice)

  • 10% off compared to single class booking

Meditation course:

The Four Immeasurables

Tuesdays 10 - 11.15am UK time
~ 11th June to 16th July

Bring these qualities into your body and mind to improve your relationships and mental & physical wellbeing. Buddhism considers these qualities to be "immeasurable" - in other words, we can always cultivate more of them and there is no end to them.

  • Kindness

  • Compassion

  • Equanimity

  • Joy

Restorative Yoga:

A Somatic Approach

Wednesdays 6 - 7.15pm UK time
~ 12th June to 17th July

Learn how to make yourself feel better and how to embed what you are learning into your daily life. With weekly tips, tools and bitesize practices to:

  • Reset your nervous system

  • Move from wired and tired to thriving

  • Enjoy deep, nourishing rest

  • Learn ways to gently energise yourself in a holistic way

  • Sleep better

  • Feel better

This restful and trauma-sensitive course is informed by all of my embodiment practices (yoga, meditation, Yoga Nidra and Feldenkrais especially) and my experiential understanding of the polyvagal theory, trauma and how human nervous systems operate in a potentially overwhelming world.

Movement Medicine:

Thursdays 9.45 - 11am UK time
~ 13th June to 18th July

Learn 5 core principles of a movement practice that is designed and practised to:

  • Improve how you move

  • Make movement easier

  • Enjoy the practice more

  • Potentially reduce pain in the body and contribute to healing or living more easily with chronic health challenges

This experiental movement course is inspired by my 20+ years practising yoga and teaching for 15 years, my work in embodiment, my own practice of Feldenkrais and conscious dance activity. All the practices are non-athletic and adaptations can be made for most bodies most of the time.
